This work has suicide as its central theme and is trilaterally structured around the following: “Critical readings of colonialism and counter-hegemonic epistemologies”; “Intersectionality and vulnerable populations”; and “Courses, spaces and professional practices”. Privileging insurgent approaches, the book is anchored on research and issues of gender, race, class, sexual orientation, Afro-Brazilian knowledge and spaces such as hospitals, the web and agribusiness productive regions, under the lens of critical epidemiology, philosophy, bioethics, religion and politics.
