Outcast and isolated communities, CMA, are populations that despite living in rural areas far from other human settlements, are affected by the political, economic, cultural and social reality of their communities. Although we do not have enough evidence due to the lack of formal statistical studies, it is the groups most affected by the lack of resources and opportunities and above all, by the fact that they do not know they have rights. This publication seeks to contribute to the dialogue about the reality of these communities in Ecuador, Latin America and the Caribbean. Its objective is to arouse academic debate, draw attention to international cooperation and increase political interest in the CMA.
