The themes discussed throughout the book permeate the studies about normalization, sexuality and genders, into an axis beyond the scientifical production. The papers that are part of this book problematize and tensionate the permanent way in which the scientifical production in the area is made and seeks to lead the comprehension that producing scientifical knowledge is a political act, that the social activism also produces knowledge and this whole production needs to be in service of public policies so that people respect, acknowledge and learn the multiple sexualities and genders existing in society.
