Tom Jobim was one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century and he left a legacy that goes beyond his scores. The impression is that music was only a sublime resource to express and conjugate other passions: literature, ornithology, architecture, ecology, linguistics, geography, history, meteorology, poetry, botany. The conviction remains that if he had never played a piano or written a melody, today we would also be celebrating and discussing the work of a great Brazilian performer.
