STATISTICAL CONCEPTS FOR HEALTH SCIENCES

CONCEPTOS ESTADÍSTICOS PARA LAS CIENCIAS DE LA SALUD

Currently, quantitative research in biology and health sciences predominates widely over qualitative research. In this manual, the author contributes with statistical concepts available for its application in Health Sciences. The work summarizes and presents concepts arising from multiple sessions from academic exchanges with doctors, psychologists, biologists, biochemists, dentists, molecular biologists and post-graduate scholarship holder. The chapter "Tetrálogos de Nepomuceno", which conclude the 16 chapters of this manual, represent an original didactic effort that endows the work with different levels of reading and comprehension. This and the numerous examples for the application of different statistical situations confer it value as a teaching tool. The text can be used both by those who begin in this discipline, as well as those who wish to deepen in it.
