It is common to consider that technology displaces and breaks reading habits, but the experience shared here shows that this can be a powerful ally when reading is seen as a broader and more complex exercise that does not end the relationship with books. Thus, this work shows the dynamic and constructive relationship that is achieved between reading, digital literacy and technologies used from a playful approach; who ventures into it, will find the narration of the experiences that gave life to stories rescued from the oral tradition of some marginalized communities in Chiapas, Mexico, through a creative use of cardboard boxes and recycled material with the support of a computer and a digital camera.
