The neighborhood in Chile invites you to look at this space as a possibility to reinvent the work of politics. Mirroring years of work with communities in the city of Talca, the text critically addresses the notion of neighborhood in the dynamics of neoliberal capitalism. It examines how a subsidiary state promotes subordination relations between social organizations regarding to public policies, weakening their capacities to transform the environment and urban life.
