This work tackles an ongoing process: the effects of the pandemic on education. Departing from a plural range of perspectives, the text seeks to capture this phenomenon in its development, proposing a historical view and bringing back other events from the Argentine past that marked disruptions on school’s daily life. Historical perspectives are included at different levels: the policies regarding women and caregiving situations; the place of technology in society and its impact on the educational field. It also features an analysis of the workings of the education system at different levels, considering old and new inequalities. Other works explore the state of teaching, of classrooms and pandemic pedagogies, either through articles, conceptualizations or reflections about school practices.
In its final chapters, the book presents different lines of analysis about the near future, based on different scenarios and considering emerging configurations in the relationship between society, technology, schools and the State.
