Tradición, mito y naturaleza en la poesía de Raúl Gómez Jattin

By interweaving analytical materials such as poetic tradition and the power of the four elements, this literary essay addresses many of the central components of the work of the Colombian poet Raúl Gómez Jattin (1945-1997). In a journey that begins through the streets of Bogotá, from a forest planted in memory of 21 children who perished in a terrible accident, the author leads his readers through readings, connections, and unraveling of the poems by one of the most shocking figures in Colombian literature. In an analysis that turns to the biographical, not as an interpretive norm, but as a framework of relationships and establishing links with voices and poems from national and international literature. Jaime Alberto Palacios Mahecha not only reaffirms the important place that Gómez Jattin and his work have, but also offers new perspectives for their interpretation and reception.
