There are studies and methods on some original Andean musical instruments, and on those assimilated in the colonial and republican period, as is the case those assimilated in the colonial and republican period, such is the guitar. The present research is a pioneering didactic exercise, as it delves into a style of tuning the tuning and execution style of a musical system developed by the Cayambi cultures. It is a manual for learning the Cayambeña guitar, which gives transcendence to the intercultural musical educational practices.

Having achieved, in this study, the decoding of the tuning system of the Cayambeña guitar is a transcendental aspect for the knowledge and development of our sound identities and original musical systems. The graphic system and the quadratures with the playing positions of the Cayambeña guitar are didactically evidenced in this method, which allows to practice with precision its learning and, at the same time, to become an artistic skill beneficial for the local culture.
