The idea of writing this book arose on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of CIESAS’ Indoamerican Linguistics Master’s in 2015. Its objective is to provide a sample of variety and quality from researching works developed by students of this postgraduate course. It includes a selection of outstanding works by ten graduates that summarize some of the most significant contributions of their corresponding theses. This book chapters open new inroads into the Mesoamerican linguistics and show the progress achieved in the formation of native, Indoamerican languages speaking linguists.
