The work addresses the expressive percentage of maternal deaths in Brazil by Covid-19. The publication originated from the extension project "Working with who recommendations to ensure a positive experience of childbirth in a teaching hospital in Porto Alegre, RS". The production took place collaboratively between teachers and students who work from the perspective of science with responsibility, ethics and affection, believing in the sharing of scientific knowledge and the social relevance of the public university's responses to complex contexts of health and life in society.
