Women and the shadows of love

Las mujeres y las sombras del amor

All over the world, and Mexico is no exception, the number of divorces has increased substantially in the last 35 years, without counting on the silent separations of those who coupled and broke up without signing papers. This gives us a clear idea of how the duration of unions that have supposedly been founded on love is becoming increasingly fragile. What love are we talking about in contemporary relationships? Why is it still assumed that marriages or unions will be long and wonderful on their own? What weight does the model of “romantic love” have in it and what possibilities are there to free oneself from a corset that does not allow women to live and express love in freedom and equality?
We hope that this book is a journey of many mirrors and more questions, mainly for women (all), in order to rethink ourselves in a different dimension in which it is possible to establish affective bonds based on high self-esteem, identifying the inequalities that They hinder us from building relationships as adults, as owners of our autonomy to make and decide how to love without falling into the shadows of love.
