Euned (Editorial Universidad Estatal a Distancia) was founded in 1979, as a fundamental component of the university project of the Remotely Accessible State University, in order to meet the need of its students printing materials. It has two main publishing lines: the production of didactic texts for higher education and the production of fiction and non-fiction works of general interest aimed at the general book market. Currently, it is the largest publishing house in Costa Rica and the largest university press in Central America.
